1. The general purpose of the project was to discover the elliptical orbit of the moon around the Earth by measuring the size of the moon in the sky to compute the distance between the moon and the Earth at different points of time.
2. The site of Observation was my drive way. The equiptment I used includes a telescope, a eyepiece for the telescope with a measurement scale on it to measure the diameter of the moon. We also used an excel spreed sheet on google docs that computed our data for us.
